Primary School Composition Writing

One popular technique that English teachers often encourage their students to apply is to insert interesting dialogues to make their stories come alive. When your child uses dialogues in his/her stories, this helps to:

  • Capture the readers’ attention right from the start
  • Create excitement and suspense by hinting what’s coming up next
  • Shed light on the personality of the characters

To help your child level up their creative writing skills, we’ve come up with a list of useful and vivid verbs that he/she can use instead of the regular ‘said’ or ‘replied’ in direct speech. This definitely helps to convey the character’s feelings and intentions more clearly.
